![]() I don't know why such a key feature would be broken for over a year. A torrent file acts as an index that tells your computer where files or parts of files are located within the network, and downloads pieces of them from other peers in the network all at once. It is a real shame because the rest of the program has received such care and attention. What is torrenting Torrenting is a method of downloading files from a P2P network using torrent files or Magnet links. This one, compared to other IP Managers and IP Filters I looked at, plus a couple I attempted to install, seems to be rather popular and the Installation Wizard and updater made the install process pretty simple compared to others. what if I downloaded some of the data, just one file for example, Am I gonna just seed for this file You can make a new torrent with. Anything that ONLY works via blocklist can never change fast enough to. ![]() I have pretty much given up on using it and I installed Moblock instead. Hey Guys, Ok, considering the recommendation of some and against the better judgment of others, I've gone ahead and installed and updated PeerGuardian 2, Rev 6C. Peerguardian is limited by the fact that it only blocks know adresses so theres. However, whenever you use Peerguardian or Protowall. the only complication i encounter is where pg2 will still flash in systray. The most that it can do is limit the amount of rubbish data being passed through to your torrent client. as i actually run comodo with peerguardian, and it seems to work ok for the most part. Too many will not only overlap the protection, it can also cause your connection to slow horribly or become useless. I think that when one feature causes so many problems that the forum staff have to block the dang thing as a search term some serious work needs to go into that particular feature. If you do use Peerguardian, dont go crazy with adding lists. Also, now the term "blocklist" is apparently too common to search for in the forums. I have raised this issue before, but it is still broken. The problem is that this requires a download, decompression, and importation, all done manually. It seems to me that the plugin is not properly calling on the compression utility, because it has no problem with plain text files. ![]() you have to kill the program to get it out of the loop. When you select peerguardian it downloads the file just fine, but just sits there doing nothing.
